Nursing home stays can range from days to years. To address both possibilities, two areas were rated: short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. To be recognized, a home must be \u201chigh performing\u201d in one or both areas.<\/p>\n<p>Standards for evaluation include nurse staffing, patient outcomes, measures taken to provide a safe environment, and high-quality healthcare.
